We are proud to announce that the Firefighter of the month in December is Lieutenant Todd Burkes. Todd has been with the Pearl Fire Department since April 1, 2008 and has documented thousands of training hours with the State Fire Academy. He was promoted to Lieutenant in June 2013. Recently he graduated in the top of the class in the NFPA 1933 Fire Investigator class. Todd also conducts several fire safety education programs at Pearl Schools throughout the year. Todd graduated from Pearl High School and is married to Lindsey. They have three children, Anna Michael, Gracie Lou, and Kendall.
The Pearl Chamber of Commerce presented Lt. Burkes with a framed certificate, a $100 Bass Pro Gift Card and a Cracker Barrel Gift Basket that includes a complete dinner for two.
