A Groundbreaking Ceremony was held on Monday May 9th for the new Pearl Upper Elementary School. The entrance to the school will be next to the Central Fire Station on Hwy 80. The 86,000 square foot facility will house fourth and fifth grade students that will each have their own wing. Also included will be a gym/multipurpose building, two state of the art science labs and 800 square foot classrooms. Construction is scheduled to begin in July 2016 and the school is expected to be completed in time for the first day of school in August 2017.
