BlueLinx was selected as the Pearl Chamber of Commerce Business of the Month in January. BlueLinx, who acquired the Georgia Pacific distributorship in 2004, has been a Pearl Chamber of Commerce member since 1984. They are located on Gulf Line Road and the facility sits on 12 acres adjacent to the railroad tracks. BlueLinx is a wholesale distributor of building products such as lumber, engineered lumber, roofing, siding, specialty metals and insulation. They recently acquired the Weyerhaeuser distributorship in the southeast region distributing specialty engineered lumber products such as trusses and joists. Some of their local customers include Sutherland’s, Home Depot, Lowe’s and 84 Lumber.
