They are located at 3615 ½ Hwy 80 East in Pearl between the Central Fire Station and Pearl High School. Doris Berry has had a farmers market in Jackson for 63 years. The new location in Pearl offers a huge selection of fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers and plants. They have local farmers that farm and harvest for them from Morton, Crystal Springs and Lucedale, Mississippi. They offer your favorite sweet potatoes from Vardaman, Mississippi and they also have the purple and white varieties. The Farmers Market has both Silver Queen and Peaches and Cream Corn as well as fresh beets, carrots and green onions. The watermelons are from Florida and the cantalopes are from Lucedale, Mississippi. They have a huge selection of homemade jams and jellies including blueberry, peach, fig and Mayhaw jelly. They also carry Amish made products such as pepper jelly, cane syrup, butter, cheese, cottage hams and summer sausage. They also stock farm fresh brown eggs and local Pennington Honey. The Farmers Market has a freezer with fresh frozen vegetables that are ready to take home and cook or put in the freezer. The beautiful plants and flowers that they sell are locally grown in Terry and Brandon, Mississippi. Their hours are 8 – 6 Monday thru Saturday and 10 – 6 on Sunday. They will be open year round and carry pumpkins, gourds, pecans, walnuts and other specialties in the fall.
