The Pearl Chamber of Commerce held a Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Planet Fitness located at 3025 Hwy 80 East in Pearl in the Roses Shopping Center. Planet Fitness is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and has 32 security cameras and a card scanner at the entrance. Planet Fitness offers 2 plans: The Classic Membership which is $10 a month with no commitment and no contract. It offers unlimited workouts on all machines and equipment. The Black Card Membership includes all equipment and machines as well as fitness training, hydro-massage beds, tanning beds and many other amenities. A Black Card Member has access to any Planet Fitness nationwide. They offer no sign-ups or time limits on cardio and all machines are user friendly. Headphones are available with all cardio with a selection of 20 different televisions. The 30- minute workout room is customized for those on a tight schedule. A red light/green light system is used to signal when the time is over for that particular workout and move on to the next equipment.
