The Pearl Chamber of Commerce held a Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Wednesday, November 18th for Pafford Emergency Medical Services. They are the new ambulance and paramedic service serving both Pearl and Brandon. The Pafford family has been providing emergency healthcare to the communities that they serve since 1967. Today they operate in 4 states with 65 ambulance stations, two aeromedical helicopters, two medically configured fixed wing airplanes, a communications center, consulting services and over 600 employees. Locally they have 5 ambulances that are stationed in the Pearl and Brandon area with 5 more that are readily available if needed. They operate 7 days a week 24 hours a day 365 days a week. Pafford has EMTs and Paramedics on all trucks and all of them have extensive educational levels and degrees. All of the ambulances in the Pearl-Brandon area are brand new and fully equipped with power cots, ventilators, multiple medication supply, computers and they all have GPS. Pafford EMS prides themselves on an average response time of 5 minutes for all Priority 1 Emergencies.
