A Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held on Thursday, May 19th for Penn’s Restaurant located inside the Fill Up Convenience Store at 3139 Greenfield Road in Pearl. Penn’s is locally owned and operated by Linda Penn Chaney. Linda is the daughter of Roger Penn who started the company in 1967. Penn’s is well known for their fried catfish, chicken and shrimp, but they also have a wide variety of grilled items, Hamburgers, Poboys and breakfast. Breakfast is served from 6 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. and lunch and dinner is served until 9 p.m. Penn’s only serves U.S. Farm Raised Catfish and is a dine in or carry out restaurant.
